
In guided reading Owls have been enjoying their new book, The Boy at The Back of The Class. We have learned new vocabulary, including insightful and ingenious. Pairs reading has allowed us to develop our oracy skills along with cooperation and teamwork. On Wednesday and Thursday, we have answered questions on chapter one of the text and developed our ability to retrieve and infer information and offer our opinion on a given topic.
The choice of book connects to our work in writing on refugees and how it feels to be alone in a new place.
